Experience -- Key Projects:

BCAHC (BC Academic Health Council), Vancouver, BC

Goal: Launch a Provincial non-profit society, creating a collaborative

forum for linking healthcare and advanced education in preparing

tomorrow's health care workforce.  

My Key Activities:

- provided management and coordination through a corporate

transition

- led an office relocation and asset procurement;

- designed/implemented the set up of the business operation infra-

structure

- acted as HR manager, Finance Manager, planner, project manager,

systems designer and network trouble- shooter.

Coaching: Acted as business counsel to senior leader; Trained and

coached team members, hired administrative staff, created

performance guidance model.

Finance: Managed and monitored all finances and investment for an

organization growing from a $300k to a $7.1 million budget over 4 years

Project: Practice Education Innovation Fund (PEIF)

Goal: To fund opportunities for health care organizations to create

new work placements and for post-secondary institutions to develop

lab simulations and make curriculum revisions.

My Key Activities: fund manager for a $6.0 million grant, including

coordinating the RFP process and coordinating with 58 approved

projects over 2.5 years.

Project: Electronic Health Library Resources (EHLBC)

Goal: To initiate a province-wide strategy for electronic health

resource licensing.

My Key Activities: point of contact and facilitator for the $5.4 million

/3-year e-health library strategy, including financial management,

business planning, drafting a business case, and facilitation/

coordination for the 40-member committee.

Golf Course Launch, Kelowna, BC

Goal: To launch a championship golf course operation in Kelowna, BC.

My Key Activities:

  • Setting up a temporary administration office
  • Coordinating the outfit and procurement for the clubhouse kitchen
  • Procuring capital assets and services, and operating and capital
  • budgets
  • Managing human resources
  • Writing operational policy
  • Overseeing marketing and membership recruitment campaigns
  • Building systems infrastructures, including server network, point
  • of sales systems
  • Overseeing launch events

TBC Teletheatre BC Ltd., Vancouver, BC

Goal: To launch a Provincial operation and network of off-track

horse racing centers.

My Key Activities:

  • Set up all systems, policies, communications and practices for a new Vancouver head office.
  • Managed the day-to-day operations, including all budgets, finance, monitoring and reporting (budget responsibilities in excess of $4M).
  • Introduce and present orientation seminars to hotel operators for site openings.
  • Successfully applied for Order-in-Council to increase the number of horse race centers from 19 to 26.

Sheralegal Services Ltd., Vancouver BC

Goal: To build a boutique company offering administrative, corporate

securities compliance and paralegal services to Vancouver Stock

Exchange companies and corporate securities lawyers.

My Key Activities:

  • established business structure and Vancouver office
  • built clientele and handled all marketing/advertising programs
  • hired and trained all administrative staff
  • business development activities
  • provided all paralegal services and freelancing for corporate securities law firms
  • handled all accounting, for business and for clients: including Quarterly Reports
